THE CARNIVAL

Gauteng Carnival is the South African story with common themes based on folklore, culture, and told by people of Gauteng through artistic colourful large, medium and small costumes, and traditional music and dance two days street parade. The Gauteng Carnival tradition is based on a number of disciplines, including: masquerade, traditional music and dance, house music, local dance and awarding of the best troupe from one of the --the words ,i have mailed you the pictures, Gauteng regions. The Gauteng carnival is scheduled to be held in Soweto from 8th - 9th September 2012 street parades will start and end at Mofolo Park, Soweto. Activities to be expected to be unfolded as follows; 8th September 2012 Children’s street parade, showcase of the marimba bands DJ festival from 6pm till late. 9th September 2012 Main carnival Parade, Dance to your Rhythm finals and the Carnival Music festival.
